"Unlocking the potential of unemployed youth from marginalized groups". With these words Monika Pisankaneva, Program Director of Workshop for Civil Initiatives Foundation /WCIF/ described the project Direction Employment during the meeting for business leaders and civil organizations that was held on March 19, 2019 at the Roslin Thrace Hotel, Sofia. The event brought together over 50 business and NGO representatives who promote the diversity and inclusion of marginalized groups in the workplace.
During the meeting Monika Pisankaneva also presented how the project will prepare young people from marginalized groups including Roma, LGBTI, refugees and others to work in the highly competitive IT sector.
The project has been put into action in five countries - Bulgaria, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovenia and Portugal and it has been implemented with the financial support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism - "Youth Employment Fund".
